This is a FREE SHOW\, & all ages are welcome! \nApril Pendergrass entered the Huntsville music scene in 2017 as the girl in local duo Girl\, Guy\, Guitar. Since then\, she’s crafted her own solo\, trio\, and band shows to bring a selection of sassy\, humorous songs and other pop\, rock\, and country favorites. \nThe band was conceived in June of 2020 when a duo was formed with violinist and vocalist Joanna Moger. This quickly grew to a trio with drummer Scott Key and then the final\, the addition of bassist and vocalist Freddy Faust. \nThe music is influenced by artists such as Ashley McBryde\, Brandy Clark\, Kasey Musgraves\, and Miranda Lambert.

Researchers from HudsonAlpha\, in collaboration with experts\, have used genomics and plant breeding to develop new\, improved agricultural crops for our region. This initiative helps local farmers grow barley during their “off-season\,” providing them with additional income and reducing the need to import barley from other parts of the U.S. \n30\,000 pounds of barley were harvested from an eight-acre field trial in North Alabama\, now being used by over a dozen breweries in the state.
