Yes, we offer a 20% nonprofit discount. We request documentation supporting your nonprofit to receive the discount.

Catering for Canteen events is offered only by restaurants located inside Stovehouse. For a list of vendors please visit this link.

Stovehouse is excited to be a Huntsville Arts & Entertainment district and offer purple cups around campus. This offers you and your guests greater flexibility and a wider selection of beverages from the multiple bars on campus. Private bars are not available inside The Canteen.

Yes, birthday cake or cupcakes are allowed for your event.

All setup and teardown—including catering—must be within your rental window. If you want your party to continue, you will need to move to the common Stovehouse space. We keep a tight schedule of private rentals that includes cleaning time.

Prior to your event, your Experience Manager will contact you to ask how you’d like the room set up. We are happy to offer suggestions based on your event’s needs!

You may hang decorations or signs on the glass windows and decorate the tables. Balloons and free-standing decorations are also allowed. Do not hang decorations or signs on walls, from wooden beams, shelving, etc. Painter’s tape must be used if tape is needed.

The renter is obligated to cover any damages done to the room during their event.

No. We have linenless brushed metal tables that are very nice and go with the unique industrial theme of The Canteen. You are welcome to bring in your own tablecloths if desired.

Your computer can be connected to the television using an HDMI cable, a USB stick, or wirelessly via AirTame. Please make sure you have any adaptors required to convert your computer to HDMI.

We have provided curtains, and you may close the doors for privacy. However, you are likely to hear all the activity happening nearby at Stovehouse.

Yes, but please keep in mind the room size. Some guests have enjoyed taking advantage of the entertainment provided on the Leisure Lawn rather than bringing in their own private entertainment. Please inquire about sponsoring a band of your choice on the main stage!

To fully open or close the curtains, please call 256-957-6101 for assistance; however, you may pull them back to the tiebacks whenever you wish.

Weather permitting, the garage doors may be opened. A campus host will greet you at the start of your reservation time and can assist you in doing so.
